Family Advocate
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Family Advocate is responsible for aiding individuals and families in the shelter in obtaining all necessary & appropriate services to complete their personal plan for escaping the violence that has brought them to the WRC.
Minimum Requirements
1. Training &/or experience in crisis intervention
2. Ability to listen effectively
3. Ability to assist with problem solving
4. One year experience working with children
1. Degree in human services field
2. Certified Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Response Professional
3. Familiarity with community & its resources
4. Experience/education on child development and parenting
5. Experience with volunteer programs
6. Supervisory experience
