DVAM Events.

Throughout October, the Women’s Resource Center will host and participate in events across Cleveland County and surrounding communities to raise awareness about domestic violence, connect community members with resources, and honor survivors. Join us throughout the month as we work together to build safer communities.

    DVAM Kickoff Event

    6:00–7:30 PM (Doors open at 5:00 PM)

    Opening reception featuring a powerful visual display of domestic violence, remarks from civic leaders, and a ½ mile walk to the original WRC shelter in honor of those who have experienced intimate partner violence.

    A community-centered conversation bringing together professionals who interact with and respond to domestic violence, along with community advocates and those working to support survivors and families.

Silent Witness Display Project

Silent Witness Displays will be featured throughout October. The project is a way to honor the lives of those affected by domestic violence while helping our community better understand the many forms abuse can take.
