Become an Advocate
Volunteering at the Rape Crisis Center at the Women’s Resource Center is an opportunity to make a profound difference in the lives of survivors of sexual violence. As an advocate, you will provide critical emotional support, information, and resources to individuals during some of their most vulnerable moments. By becoming a volunteer, you join a dedicated team committed to helping survivors regain their sense of control and safety.
Our comprehensive volunteer training will equip you with the skills and knowledge to offer compassionate, informed support. This training takes place on October 19, 20, 26, and 27, from 9 am to 5 pm each day. Through interactive sessions and expert guidance, you’ll learn how to respond to crisis calls, accompany survivors during medical exams or police reports, and navigate the available resources.
